She told me, “No problem, this is a simple case, I’ll have you in within a couple of weeks. Don’t worry.” Everything was done by inept paralegals who made many blatant mistakes.
$5,000 and two denied visa applications later, she said she would call and work on appealing my application. But not to worry, if they denied it, she said I could “marry my US girlfriend and file a spousal visa.”
I finally got her on the phone. “Oh sorry, did nobody get back to you? Yes, well, I talked to them, and they didn’t seem to think it would go through, so I don’t really see a way of this working out. Sorry. Maybe you should talk to a different lawyer, you might have better luck with them.”
Another immigration lawyer looked at her work, called it “shoddy” and said that BOTH visa applications she had me attempt were not correct for me. They also said that the advice Ms. Wong had given me about using a spousal visa was ethically wrong and would likely had me being charged with fraud.
